Story
From 4 to 27 November, Raymond Machell, Estelle Machell and Sam Hall will be attempting to conquer the Himalayas via the Annurpurna circuit. Raymond will likely finish days before the group... Estelle and Sam will just be happy to finish in time to catch the flight home! We are readily advised that 'Day 13 will be the hardest, when "...after numerous false summits we will finally reach 'the pass' at 5,416m" climbing through all of the seasons of the year on our way?! According to the trip notes, Day 6 seems like a 'walk in the park', passing waterfalls and picturesque villages, but this will mark 10 years since we said goodbye to dearest Elke, and somehow I think that all the trials of the mountains will not quite compare, especially without Ellie who will be back in the UK with Elke's beautiful (and cheeky) grandson, Noah. We would like to mark the passage of the past 10 years by starting a fund and raising money for a great cause. The Christie has offered much needed support to both sufferers and their loved ones and hopefully with contributions such as this will continue to do so. In memory of Elke xxxUpdates
